"What
can we do for children
ÁÁwho are our hope for the future?" |

CAMP (Children's Art Museum & Park) is a program dedicated
to enhancing the capability of children. The CSK Group is the patron for this
hub for the future of children, based at the Okawa Center opened in April 2001
at the Kansai Science City in Keihanna. Elementary and junior high school students
from the region but gradually from all the world gather here to participate in
workshops that challenge the boundaries of digital and analog technology and art,
and provide a place where children can learn through trial and error opposed to
rote, to make new discoveries.
CAMP's programs are assisted by CAMPERS from around the
world who support its philosophy and who travel from afar to the Okawa Center
to participate in its activities. The participants include some of the most creative
visionaries of renowned institutions and universities most prominently the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology and research institutions,
hi-tech companies, children's museums and science museums both in Japan and overseas.
