CAMP Workshop programs are based on five concepts |
Think -Curiosity, Exploration, and Discovery
Thinking is fun. It is exhilarating and excites the sense of curiosity that then leads to exploring and discovering things over and over again.
Make -Process, Trial & Error, and Creativity
The trial and error process brings out feelings of failure and pain but also the joy of success and the delight of discovery while creating things. All of these elements bring out creativity in children.
Connect -Meeting, Sharing, and Exchanging
Workshops are also forums to meet new people. By sharing the same time and space, exchange ideas and opinions, the participants become connected.
Present -New Perspectives, Understanding, and Communication
Communication is an opportunity to understand both yourself and the person you are communicating with. By conveying feelings and thoughts to others, one can rediscover oneself from new and different perspectives.
Reflect -Opportunities, Growth, and Re-creation
Reflection leads to future opportunities and growth. By re-creating what one has experienced or felt, one is able to impress those events more deeply in the mind. |
