*Attention
Children are treated as individuals and with respect. The key is earnest conversation with full attention to the child. Facilitators do not try to change the topic nor give ambiguous answers. By doing so, they build up mutual relationships of trust and are able to share feelings and thoughts with children.
*Trust
Children are very active, eager, and grow at speeds and in ways different from adults. As facilitators, we should never forget to adopt attitudes of believing in children, and always act judiciously.
*Awareness
Close attention is paid to each child so that even small successes or changes are noticed and conveyed to the children in words, even on small matters.
*Fresh start
Each workshop is unique. The same group of children will never come again.Every workshop is fresh and valuable.
Start fresh with every workshop and make every workshop a valuable one. |
